Yasmin Davidson: May 2011

I'm a fourth year Fine Art student currently studying in Dundee.

My current practice examines childhood memories and the fragility of growing up. In my work I hope to amplify these childhood memories through expressive, naïve and innocent gestures.

My own childhood memories are of playing in abandoned buildings and hanging around local schemes. The physical materials I use to convey these places within my work are often sourced directly from the spaces themselves and I hope that in doing so I can transport the viewer and instil in them the same excitement and urgency that I experienced in these environments growing up.
